After defeating the Yamhill-Carlton Tigers in the first round of playoffs last weekend, the Bruins advanced to the quarterfinals of the OSAA 3A championship where they faced off against Burns.

Burns took the win at 47-39, knocking the Bruins out of the running for the state title and into the consolation bracket.

On Friday, the following day, the Bruins faced Oregon Episcopal in the semi-consolation round, taking a close 47-45 win and advancing to the final round.

The Bruins will play their next match today against Warrenton at the neutral site of Marshfield High School. The game starts at 9:45 a.m.

Warrenton defeated Amity in the first round of the playoffs but was then defeated by Salem Academy at 42-26. Warrenton went on to play Vale in the semi-consolation round at 45-40 and now face the Bruins.

The Bruins were first place in their league while Warrenton placed second in theirs.
