Bruins boys soccer
The Bruins boys soccer team will be putting the finishing touches on their season this week when they meet for their awards banquet. The banquet is 5 p.m. Monday at the Brookings-Harbor High School cafeteria.
Bruins boys basketball
After a 61-51 loss last Saturday against the 4A Mazama Vikings, the Bruins took on the 5A North Bend Bulldogs on Tuesday for a 60-45 loss in two pre-league games. The Bruins then picked things back up on Friday by hosting North Valley in an endowment game.
The Bruins next game will be Tuesday against the Bandon Tigers at 7:30 p.m. After that, they’ll head to Hidden Valley on Thursday for the three-day Hidden Valley Tournament.
Bruins girls basketball
The Bruins wrapped up the Yreka Tournament last week at 1-2 after defeating Shasta 65-31 in the first round and taking a close 45-43 loss against Yreka in the second before wrapping things up against Crater for a 73-28 loss.
On Tuesday, the Bruins took on North Bend for a 63-53 loss for their first non-tournament game of the season. The Bruins play again Tuesday when they host the Bandon Tigers at 5:30 p.m.
The Bruins will be competing today in the North Bend Classic meet at North Bend High School. Next week, the Bruins head to Grants Pass Winter Blast Kick Off at Grants Pass High School, starting Friday at 11 a.m. and carrying on through Saturday.
Panthers boys basketball
The Panthers traveled to take on Prospect Charter on Tuesday, winning a huge 78-23 over the Grants Pass team. On Friday, the Panthers played the first round of the Myrtle Point Tournament in a rematch against the Pacific Pirates, who beat them 59-45 last week.
The second round of the tournament will be played today at 7 p.m. The Panthers then host the Illinois Valley Cougars on We dnesday at 7:15 p.m.
