Football awards banquet Thursday
The Bruins football team will host its annual awards ceremony for the season 6 p.m. Thursday at the Brookings-Harbor High School cafeteria.
The Bruins had their most successful season in recent memory, going 2-3 in league play and heading to the 3A state playoffs after winning the nomination for an at-large bid.
This was also the Bruins first year playing at the 3A level after the school was moved down from 4A this year. While they retained a few longtime rivals, they faced off against one of the most competitive leagues in the state at the 3A level, including the reigning state champions, Cascade Christian.
Girls soccer awards banquet Nov. 28
The Bruins girls soccer team will host their annual awards banquet on Nov. 28 at the Brookings-Harbor High School cafeteria with a tentative start time of 6:30 p.m. The Bruins had a powerful season in their new 3A league this year, going undefeated in league at 10- before getting knocked out of the playoffs in the quarterfinals. They earned several awards this year, including MVP and coach of the year awards.
Salmon Run hosts Turkey Trot tournament
Salmon Run’s final tournament of the year will be The Turkey Trot on Nov. 17, starting at 10 a.m. with check-in at 9-9:30 a.m.
The tournament is a four-person scramble at $25 plus green fees. KP’s and Mulligan’s will be available. The tournament will have prizes afterward, including turkeys. Lunch will be provided.

Salmon Run is closed Thanksgiving day. The Mens Club will be also be hosting a Turkey Shoot competition 10 a.m. Nov. 14. Contact the clubhouse for more information.
