Track and field sign ups

The Brookings-Harbor track and field season starts Feb. 26. Anyone who plans on participating this year and hasn’t already talked to a coach should contact the coaching staff listed below as soon as possible to exchange names and contact information. All athletes will need to have a current sports physical to participate.

Panthers boys basketball

For their final game of the season, the Panthers travelled to Bandon to face the Tigers on Tuesday where they took a 48-35 win to wrap up their season on a high note.

At 5-5 in league play, the Panthers will end the season tied with the Waldport Irish for third place in the Sunset Conference. The Panthers were 12-10 overall this year, landing them at rank No. 23 in the OSAA 2A rankings.

Panthers girls basketball

The lady Panthers played their final regular season game on Tuesday beating the Bandon Tigers, 44-21.

At 9-1, the Panthers ended league play tied for first place with the Toledo Boomers, who they will face for the third time this year for the Sunset Conference title. The Panthers were 16-6 overall this season at rank No. 11 in the OSAA 2A rankings.

The Panthers travelled to North Bend Friday for their playoff game against the Boomers.

After defeating the Boomer’s at a close 61-58 at Toledo earlier in the season, the Panthers were in turn defeated during their home game rematch against the Boomers Feb. 9.

Pirates boys basketball

After ending their league season undefeated at 13-0, the Pacific Pirates faced the North Douglas Warriors at the Skyline League District Tournament on Friday. The pirates were 23-2 overall for the season ranked No. 1 in the OSAA 1A rankings.

Pirates girls basketball

The lady Pirates were defeated by North Douglas on Wednesday during the Skyline League playoff tournament. At 8-5, the Pirates ended league play for the season at fourth place, tied with the Camas Valley Hornets. The Pirates went 11-15 overall for the season at rank No. 37 in the OSAA 1A rankings.
