The Brookings Police Department provides emergency dispatch services for the City of Brookings as well as Southern Curry County 9-1-1 calls, dispatching for state, county, and local law enforcement, five fire departments, and Cal-Ore ambulance. Wednesday, Oct. 14

At 12:09 a.m., police officer hold on a patient for a psych evaluation on 5th St. Transported via ambulance to hospital.

At 3:33 a.m., officer contacted two transients loitering at the bottle return of a store in the 900 block of Chetco Ave. They moved along as directed.

At 10:44 a.m., transient male was cited and released for public indecency for walking around with exposed genitals in the 900 block of Chetco Ave.

At 10:57 a.m., criminal mischief reported on Old County Rd. Unknown suspects damaged flower beds on church property.

At 12:50 p.m., theft of medications reported on Spruce St.

At 2:11 p.m., transient male formally trespassed from a business on Railroad Ave.

At 3:17 p.m., criminal mischief reported on Carpenterville Rd. Vehicle was the victim of a tire slashing.

At 5:10 p.m., transient male was observed stealing bags of cans from the Lions Cans for Kids receptacle in the 900 block of Chetco Ave.

At 5:37 p.m., disorderly conduct reported on U.S. Highway 101 South near Hoffeldt Ln.

At 9:01 p.m., theft of prescription meds reported on Paradise Ln.

At 9:15 p.m., theft reported on Dixie St.

Thursday, Oct. 15

At 2:50 a.m., burglary reported on W. Hoffeldt Ln.

At 6:19 a.m., transient male adult was arrested for criminal trespass after returning to a business in the 1100 block of Chetco Ave. after having been formerly trespassed from the business and property. He was released with a court citation.

At 7:53 a.m., mutual harassment reported among transients fighting over resources on Fir St.

At 1:53 p.m., officer investigating a report of unauthorized use of a vehicle on Hemlock St.

At 2:02 p.m., transient male left a restaurant in the 600 block of Chetco Ave. without paying for his meal. He has been formally trespassed from the business.

At 2:16 p.m., theft from an employee’s purse while at work on Parkview Dr.; officer investigating.

At 2:42 p.m., officers responded to a verbal dispute among several people at a residence on Pioneer Rd. No evidence of anything physical. Parties separated.

At 8:15 p.m., disorderly conduct reported at Macklyn Cove but not as reported.

At 8:27 p.m., theft reported at a business on 5th St.

Friday, Oct. 16

At 6:32 a.m., verbal dispute on Fir St. reported; parties separated.

At 7:51 a.m., illegal camping reported at Chetco Point.

At 9:52 a.m., stalking reported on Fir St.

At 1:47 p.m., harassment between two tenants on Pioneer Rd. This is a civil issue.

Saturday, Oct. 17

At 7:16 a.m., report of male yelling and screaming on 2nd St. Verbal only and warned for disorderly conduct.

At 10:42 a.m., deceased subject reported at Crown Terrace Rd.

At 12:35 p.m., rolling dispute between drivers reported in the 900 block of Chetco Ave.

At 8:00 p.m., individuals setting off illegal fireworks reported on Crissey Cir.

At 10:58 p.m., illegal transient camp reported under the bridge on Bridge St.; negative contact with anyone.

At 11:42 p.m., verbal dispute reported on Fern Ave.

Sunday, Oct. 18

At 12:25 p.m., threats reported on Fern Ave.

At 2:52 a.m., dispute/fight reported in the 1100 block of Chetco Ave.

At 3:12 a.m., disorderly conduct reported on Julie Dr.

At 6:09 a.m., prowler reported on North Bank Chetco River Rd.

At 9:52 a.m., criminal trespass reported on Old County Rd.

At 3:16 p.m., threats reported on Memory Ln.

At 3:54 p.m., theft reported on Helen Ln.

At 8:07 p.m., disorderly conduct reported on Boat Basin Rd.

At 10:26 p.m., fire reported on Memory Ln.

Monday, Oct. 19

At 3:18 a.m., transient male disregarded is trespass order at a business in the 1100 block of Chetco Ave. and returned for coffee. He was issued a criminal citation for Trespass II and counseled about trespass.

At 5:14 a.m., officer spoke to a male transient wielding a large stick in the police department parking lot. He reported different patterns of traffic and people following him; moved along.

At 9:54 a.m., clothes reported stolen from laundromat in the 1000 block of Chetco Ave.

At 12:00 p.m., theft of political yard sign reported stolen on Helen Ln.

At 2:29 p.m., fire reported as ‘grey smoke’ on Winchuck River Rd. but was not located by responding units.

At 4:07 p.m., theft reported on Wenbourne Ln.

At 4:54 p.m., criminal trespass reported on Memory Ln. Officer spoke to both parties involved in an ongoing custodial dispute.

Tuesday, Oct. 20

At 12:51 a.m., adult male arrested in the 700 block of Chetco Ave. on a misdemeanor Polk County warrant. Cited and released.

At 1:56 a.m., dispute/fight reported on West Hoffeldt Ln.

At 9:50 a.m., transient male entered a restaurant in the 800 block of Chetco Ave. with no face covering then became belligerent and confrontational when asked to leave, threatening to shoot employees. He was formally trespassed from the business and property.

At 10:20 a.m., hit-and-run reported on Railroad St.

At 10:36 a.m., criminal mischief reported on Easy St. Unknown suspects removed some trees from a citizen’s yard.

At 11:11 a.m., transients camping on a Railroad St. property were contacted by officers and formally trespassed.

At 1:09 a.m., transients loitering under the bridge were moved along.

At 1:17 p.m., dispute/fight reported in the 1100 block of Chetco Ave. Mutual combat between parties in a vehicle arguing over personal property.

At 1:27 p.m., threats reported on Spruce St. Transient male was warned for making harassing phone calls to a citizen at a business.

At 2:40 p.m., disorderly conduct reported on 5th St. Transient male yelling and throwing water at people near the recycle station of the store was warned for disorderly conduct and moved along.

At 5:48 p.m., transient male on Arnold Ln. was contacted by officer, who had received a report of disorderly conduct. Subject stated he was 'just singing.’

At 6:08 p.m., RV reported abandoned in church parking lot on Old County Rd.

At 6:21 p.m., two transient males acting disorderly at a business on 5th St. finally left. They will be trespassed when located by officers.

At 6:29 p.m., transient male behaving in a disorderly manner at a restaurant in the 800 block of Chetco Ave. was arrested for disorderly conduct, after having been warned for same several times throughout the day. He was released from the police department with a court citation.

At 8:46 p.m., transient male on Fir St. yelling at the church was contacted by officers and warned for disorderly conduct. He left the area, as instructed.

At 9:27 p.m., theft reported in the 16200 block of U.S. Highway 101 South.

At 10:56 p.m., dispute/fight reported on 2nd St.

At 11:21 p.m., disorderly conduct reported on Rowland Ln.

At 11:45 p.m., dispute/fight reported on Rowland Ln.
