Thursday, Jan. 16

At 7:24 a.m. Reported fire at milepost 338 on U.S. Highway 101 was a controlled burn conducted by Coos Forest Protective Association.

At 9:25 a.m. Two male transients fighting at a business on 5th Street were formally trespassed from the store and property.

At 11:57 a.m. Forgery/fraud/bad check reported on Hemlock Street. Ex-spouse reportedly drained bank account.

At 1:51 p.m. Apartment tenants with ongoing harassment issues on 5th Street were counseled and directed to report the civil incident(s) to the landlord.

At 2:08 p.m. Verbal family dispute on Ransom Avenue had been resolved prior to officer’s arrival. Parties counseled.

At 3:35 p.m. Single vehicle into ditch on Ransom Avenue; minor injuries. Driver declined medical assistance and was taken by private vehicle to the ER.

At 6:11 p.m. Library staff requested officers respond to location for two transients who refused to leave the property. Officers moved them along.

At 10:19 p.m. Disorderly conduct reported at a business in the 1000 block of Chetco Avenue.
