The police blotter is a public record of incidents as reported by law enforcement agencies. All individuals arrested or charged with a crime are innocent until proven guilty. The information printed is preliminary and subject to change. The Brookings Police Department provides emergency dispatch services for the City of Brookings as well as Southern Curry County 9-1-1 calls, dispatching for state, county, and local law enforcement, five fire departments, and Cal-Ore ambulance. Tuesday, Nov. 24

At 1:25 a.m., transient male trespassing on private property in the Mill Beach area was cited and released on a misdemeanor warrant and formally trespassed.

At 2:05 a.m., two more male transients camping illegally on private property in the Mill Beach area were moved along.

At 3:07 a.m., criminal trespass reported in the 1100 block of Chetco Ave.

At 3:23 a.m., criminal trespass reported in the 1100 block of Chetco Ave.

At 4:00 a.m., criminal trespass reported in the 1100 block of Chetco Ave.

At 9:50 a.m., criminal mischief reported on Wharf St.; ongoing neighbor dispute.

At 11:29 a.m., transient female formally trespassed from business property.

At 1:45 p.m., transient male was moved along from a camp he had set up at Botanical Gardens on North Bank Chetco River Rd.

At 3:51 p.m., female transient was arrested on misdemeanor warrant out of Medford and released with court citations.

At 6:05 p.m., fire personnel responded to a carbon monoxide alarm and resolved the issue.

At 7:10 p.m., dispute/fight reported on Fir St.

At 11:39 a.m., forgery/fraud/bad check reported on Lower Harbor Rd.

Monday, Nov. 30

At 12:21 a.m., a vehicle occupant playing loud music in the 1200 blcok of Chetco Ave. was warned for noise order ordinance violation and turned it down.

At 4:33 a.m., disorderly conduct reported in the 1600 block of Chetco Ave.

At 10:00 a.m., transient male warned for disorderly conduct in the 700 block of Chetco Ave.

At 10:04 a.m., transient male sleeping in church doorway in the 1600 block of Chetco Ave. was asked to move along and did so.

At 10:47 a.m., citizen on Marina Heights Rd. reported being victim of telephone fraud.

At 12:01 p.m., adult female was cited and released for criminal trespass and theft on previous case.

At 12:40 p.m., transients warned for disorderly conduct on Alder St.

At 1:01 p.m., unknown suspect threw a rock at a business on Hillside Ave., causing window damage.

At 1:54 p.m., harassment reported on Wharf St.

At 3:14 p.m., hit-and-run reported on Fern Ave.

At 4:24 p.m., multiple emergency calls reported a two-vehicle crash resulting in a fire. All occupants got out safely, but both vehicles were completely burned and had to be towed from scene. One driver was cited for reckless driving.

At 9:29 p.m., transient male adult was arrested on the south side of the bridge on a valid warrant out of Curry County. He was cited and released.

Tuesday, Dec. 1

At 12:15 a.m., two transients were formally trespassed from a property in the 1100 block of Chetco Ave. for disorderly conduct.

At 12:48 a.m., transient female warned for disorderly conduct for walking in the middle of Chetco Ave near 5th St.

At 2:11 a.m., an officer formally trespassed a disorderly transient female from a business in the 1100 block of Chetco Ave.

At 4:17 a.m., transient female adult was arrested for criminal trespass after returning to a business from which she had been trespassed in the 1100 block of Chetco Ave. She was released from the police department with a citation.

At 6:52 a.m., adult female transient was arrested for criminal trespass at a business on 5th St. and released with a citation.

At 7:49 a.m., transient female attempted to contact the occupant of a vehicle stopped for a traffic light.

At 8:04 a.m., adult male arrested for criminal trespass at a business on 5th St. and released with a citation.

At 9:39 a.m., officers attempted contact at an unoccupied transient camp on business property in the 1200 block of Chetco Ave.

At 9:47 a.m., officers were unable to locate a female transient reportedly trespassing at a private residence.

At 10:05 a.m., transient female adult has been excluded from all city parks for three months.

At 11:27 a.m., illegal dumping reported in the 1200 block of Chetco Ave.

At 11:58 a.m., disorderly conduct reported on Oak St.; transient male adult acting agitated; no crime.

At 12:33 p.m., transient female adult had traffic backed up on Chetco Ave. near Heather Ln., where she was yelling and hitting vehicles. She was taken into custody on a police officer hold and transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

At 12:36 p.m., theft reported on Ransom Ave. Fishing equipment stolen from a boat on private property by unknown suspects.

At 4:39 p.m., transient adult male was arrested on Fir St. on a misdemeanor warrant out of Curry County and released with a court citation.
