Monday, Jan. 6

At 10:16 a.m. Dispute/fight reported on Ransom Avenue. Officer assisted family members having a verbal dispute; one party left the residence voluntarily.

At 10:21 a.m. Theft of purse reported at a business on 5th Street.

At 1:43 p.m. Scam phone call reported in Brookings.

At 2:10 p.m. Suspicious conditions reported on Park Avenue.

At 4:43 p.m. Male transient trespassed from private property on Pacific Avenue.

At 5:44 p.m. Transient male tweaking and undressing in the 16200 block of U.S. Highway 101.

At 8:29 p.m. Theft reported at a restaurant in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue.

At 10:22 p.m. Male transient advised of the no-trespass order at a business in the 1000 block of Chetco Avenue and moved along.

At 11:11 p.m. Suspicious conditions reported on Wildwood Road.

Tuesday, Jan. 7

At 8:37 a.m. Illegal camping reported at Chetco Point. Four transients served official notices that exclude them from being in all city parks for 90

days.

At 12:50 p.m. Suspicious conditions reported at Pioneer Road.

At 1:10 p.m. Criminal mischief reported in the 1600 block of Chetco Avenue. Report taken of a church window that was broken by unknown suspect(s) last week.

At 1:32 p.m. Male transient found sleeping on the floor of the men’s bathroom in the park near Kid Town at Azalea Park was moved along.

At 2:18 p.m. Adult female attempted to steal over $300 of merchandise by leaving a store on 5th Street with an unpaid cart of items. She was cited to appear in court and released from custody.

At 5:48 p.m. Threats reported on Railroad Avenue and Center Street.

At 8:58 p.m. Occupant of a vehicle parked near the Capella at Azalea Park advised of park hours and moved along.

At 9:50 p.m. Officer observed a fire in a Dumpster behind a business on Chetco Avenue. A transient male inside the Dumpster stated he was trying to get warm. The man had previously been trespassed from the business. He was cited for reckless burning and criminal trespass, and moved from the area after cleaning up his mess. Fire extinguished.

Wednesday, Jan. 8

At 7:17 a.m. Pedestrian stated he was hit by a vehicle while in a crosswalk at Chetco and Fern avenues; vehicle driver disagreed with his stated location.

At 12:42 p.m. Criminal trespass reported on Lower Harbor Road.

At 2:17 p.m. Transient male caught on camera stealing money from the cash drawer of a business in the 600 block of Chetco Avenue.

At 3:20 p.m. Transient male arrested at a business on 5th Street on a parole violation. Transported to jail.

At 4:34 p.m. Owner of a restaurant witnessed hand-to-hand exchange between two male transients on their business premises in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue. Officers trespassed both parties from the restaurant property at owner’s request and seized drug paraphernalia.

At 4:41 p.m. Illegal camping reported on Carpenterville Road.

At 5:30 p.m. Report of shots fired on West Mar Vista Lane.

At 7:32 p.m. Suspicious conditions reported on Spruce Street.

At 7:41 p.m. Dispute/fight reported on Harbor View Circle.

At 2:02 p.m. Illegal hunting reported downstream from Ferry Hole, Gold Beach.

At 10:08 a.m. Menacing reported on Oceanview Drive, Harbor, resulting in arrest of 32-year-old male.

At 10:47 a.m. Threats reported on Dixie Street, Harbor.

At 11:17 a.m. Unauthorized use of a vehicle reported on Ophir Road, Ophir.

At 1:29 p.m. Unlawful vehicle entry reported at Lobster Creek Camp, Gold Beach.
