The police blotter is a public record of incidents as reported by law enforcement agencies. All individuals arrested or charged with a crime are innocent until proven guilty. The information printed is preliminary and subject to change. The Brookings Police Department provides emergency dispatch services for the City of Brookings as well as Southern Curry County 9-1-1 calls, dispatching for state, county, and local law enforcement, five fire departments, and Cal-Ore ambulance. Excerpts from the BPD call logs:

Wednesday, Jan. 13

* At 5:57 a.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Ransom to a report of a fight in progress. A man and a woman at the residence were arguing. The woman claimed she was pushed down but declined medical assistance and had no apparent injuries. The man gathered his belongings and left.

* At 6:57 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop and a man was arrested for DUII. The man was released after processing.

* At 8:51 a.m., police responded to the 600 block of Hemlock to a report of threats. An adult male was trespassed from the location.

* At 9:35 a.m., police trespassed a transient man from Fred Meyer.

* At 10:26 a.m., police conducted a welfare check in the 15500 block of Highway 101.

* At 10:48 a.m., police responded to a traffic accident at Chetco and 5th.

* At 4:25 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop at Hillside and Chetco and gave a verbal warning to the driver.

* At 5:36 p.m., a missing person was reported in the 16300 block of Highway 101.

* At 6:49 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop at Azalea Park. The driver was cited for driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was parked until a licensed driver could move it.

* At 10:15 p.m., officers investigated a complaint of criminal trespass in the 200 block of Cedar Street.

* At 11:22 p.m., police received a complaint of disorderly conduct in the 800 block of Chetco.

Thursday, Jan. 14

* At 12:03 a.m., officers conducted a welfare check in the 500 block of Fern Avenue.

* At 5:39 a.m., police responded to the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue to a report of a fight in progress.

* At 6:37 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Highway 101 and cited the driver for driving on a suspended license and no proof of insurance.

* At 7:30 a.m., police trespassed a transient female in the 400 block of Alder.

* At 7:32 a.m., officers responded to the bottom of Parkview Drive after a caller said a vehicle parked there had been running all night.

* At 8:12 a.m., police trespassed a man from the VA Clinic.

* At 9:06 a.m., officers responded to Cove Road after a caller said a suspicious man was knocking on doors.

* At 10:28 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of 5th Street and warned two transient men for disorderly conduct.

* At 10:59 a.m., a caller reported two dogs running loose on his property on Spruce Street.

* At 1:37 p.m., police cited a transient man for criminal trespass at St. Timothy's.

* At 2:18 p.m., police reported to the 600 block of Hemlock after a caller reported a man was painting on a building.

* At 2:28 p.m., a caller reported an RV has been parked in front of his home for several days.

* At 2:51 p.m., police arrested a man on an outstanding warrant in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue.

* At 5:12 p.m., police responded to the 900 block of 7th Street after a woman said signs were stolen from her yard.

* At 6:15 p.m., a caller reported vehicles were chasing each other on Railroad.

* At 6:41 p.m., a backpack found on Old County Road contained drug paraphernalia.

* At 10:32 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted on Mill Street.

Friday, Jan. 15

* At 2:07 a.m., police responded to the 1000 block of Chetco Avenue to a report of two people in a verbal dispute.

* At 9:53 a.m., police responded to Parkview and Highway 101 after receiving a report of vehicles coming and going from the location.

* At 10:26 a.m., a police officer was flagged down at Brookings Inn regarding a dispute.

* At 1:05 p.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Old County Road after a caller said transients were camping against a building.

* At 2:16 p.m., officers trespassed a transient man from a home in the 400 block of Fir Street and arrested a woman on an outstanding warrant.

* At 3:38 p.m., police received a report of a driver speeding and losing control at Chetco and Bridge.

* At 5:46 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Chetco and Easy and cited the driver for driving on a suspended license.

* At 9:15 p.m., a caller reported suspicious activity in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue.

* At 10:14 p.m., police received a complaint of rabbits running in the street in the 400 block of Pine Street.

* At 11:39 p.m., police found an intoxicated man lying on the ground on Chetco Avenue and helped get a taxi ride.

Saturday, Jan. 16

* At 12:06 a.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Chetco and intervened during a verbal dispute.

* Between 3:13 a.m. and 3:29 a.m., officers conducted three traffic stops on Highway 101.

* At 9:25 a.m., police received a call saying someone was carrying a firearm. The caller was advised of open carry laws.

* At 11:22 a.m., officers found two vehicles on Moore Street with parking violations.

* At 11:39 a.m., police tagged three vehicles to be towed due to parking violations at Chetco and Parkview.

* At 1:44 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Chetco and cited the driver for outstanding warrants and driving with a suspended license.

* At 4:41 p.m., police conducted a welfare check in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue.

* Between 7:53 p.m. and 8:27 p.m., police conducted three traffic stops on Chetco Avenue.

* At 8:37 p.m., officers contacted a man at Chetco and Oak for causing a verbal disturbance.

Sunday, Jan. 17

* At 12:47 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop at Chetco and Harris Beach.

* At 8:42 a.m., a burglary was reported on Ross Road.

* At 9:48 a.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Highway 101 after receiving a criminal mischief complaint.

* At 2:47 p.m., police responded to the 16300 block of Grootendorst after receiving a criminal mischief complaint.

* At 2:56 p.m., an illegal burn was reported in the 96900 block of Hampton Road.

* At 4:20 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at 5th and Chetco.

* At 4:56 p.m., police received a complaint of suspicious conditions near the ocean.

* At 8:41 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Chetco and Pacific.

* At 9:07 p.m., a fire was reported on Sporthaven Beach near Beachfront Lane.

* At 11:55 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on North Bank Chetco.

Monday, Jan. 18

* Between 4:12 and 5:01 a.m., police conducted four traffic stops on Chetco Avenue.

* At 5:05 a.m., police responded to the 95700 block of Johns Place after a report of a fight in progress.

* Between 5:13 and 5:44 a.m., police conducted five traffic stops along Chetco Avenue.

* At 7:56 a.m., an animal complaint was received on Chetco Avenue.

* At 8:22 a.m., a dispute in progress was reported in the 19300 block of Carpenterville.

* At 9:07 a.m., police responded to the 400 block of Azalea Park Road after receiving a report of stalking.

* At 11:59 a.m., police responded to the 17300 block of Matot Street after receiving a report of stalking.

* At 2:56 p.m., officers received an animal complaint in the 200 block of Marine Drive.

* At 6:23 p.m., officers responded to the 97800 block of Court Street after receiving a report of disorderly conduct.

* At 8:32 p.m., police responded to the 500 block of Pacific Aevnue after receiving a report of disorderly conduct.

* At 11:17 p.m., officers were involved in a rescue operation in the Pacific Ocean.
