Wednesday, March 3

• At 2:46 a.m., an animal complaint was received from the corner of 7th and Hassett.

• At 8:40 a.m., a traffic accident was reported in the 15900 block of Wenbourne Loop.

• At 10:45 a.m., a caller reported being harassed by telephone in the 800 block of Elk Drive.

• At 1:33 p.m., police responded to the 1600 block of Highway 101 after a caller reported a disorderly guest. The guest was asked to leave and did so.

• At 4:31 p.m., a traffic accident was reported on Chetco Avenue near Wharf.

• At 5:08 p.m., a dispute was reported in the 16000 block of Lower Harbor Road.

• At 7:21 p.m., a caller reported criminal trespass in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue.

• At 8:10 p.m., officers conducted a welfare check on Highway 101.

• At 11:03 p.m., an animal complaint was reported at the Chetco River.

Thursday, March 4

• At 3:40 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of Cypress Street after a caller reported a fight. Police broke up the fight and neither party wished to pursue charges.

• At 6:45 a.m., a traffic accident was reported on Highway 101.

• At 7:04 a.m., police trespassed two transients from the 600 block of Hemlock.

• At 10:40 a.m., a caller reported hearing a loud noise and finding a door open in the 600 block of Chetco Avenue.

• At 5:13 p.m., am abandoned vehicle was reported on Bridge Street. Officers contacted the owner and warned them for vehicle registration.

• At 6:11 p.m., a transient woman was formally trespassed from the 300 block of Chetco.

• At 10:55 p.m., a caller reported unusual lights at the Bus Barn. Police went to the area and located an employee who was filling out paperwork.

Friday, March 5

• At 2:02 a.m., a caller reported a tree down on a power line in the 16100 block of Floral Hill Drive.

• At 10:59 a.m., a loose dog was reported on Pioneer. The dog was returned to its owners.

• At 12:12 p.m., police arrested a man on an outstanding warrant in the 500 block of Hemlock Street.

• At 3:29 p.m., police responded to Chetco and 5th and warned a woman for disorderly conduct.

• At 5:09 p.m., a fire was reported in the 97900 block of Highway 101.

• At 7:37 p.m., police responded to the area of Mulberry and Spruce after a caller reported hearing someone yelling for help. Officers were unable to find anyone in distress.

• At 8:15 p.m., a caller reported a fight in progress in the 600 block of 5th Street. The dispute was found to be verbal only and the parties separated.

Saturday, March 6

• At 5:18 a.m., police responded to the 1100 block of Chetco after a caller reported a verbal dispute between two men.

• At 7:37 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Mill Beach. The driver was cited for driving while suspended and a female occupant was cited and released for possession of drugs.

• At 11:49 a.m., police responded to the 1600 block of Highway 101 and contacted two people having a verbal dispute. The two were warned for disorderly conduct.

• At 2:40 p.m., an iPhone was found on 5th Street and returned to its owner.

• At 4:06 p.m., a caller reported the theft of cleaning equipment in the 600 block of Hemlock.

• At 6:47 p.m., police responded to the Harris Beach rest area after a caller reported subjects drinking alcohol and fighting while driving.

• At 11:52 p.m., police made contact with two disorderly subjects in the 800 block of Chetco. The two were warned and trespassed from the location.

Sunday, March 7

• At 5:29 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Center and Highway 101 and cited the driver for driving while suspended and driving uninsured.

• At 1:02 p.m., a wallet was found in the 1600 block of Highway 101 and returned to its owner.

• At 2 p.m., a fire was reported in the 500 block of Fern.

• At 3:22 p.m., a dispute was reported in the 16300 block of Grootendorst.

• At 4:02 p.m., a traffic accident was reported in the 300 block of Chetco.

• At 6:09 p.m., police conducted a welfare check in the 1200 block of Iris Street.

• At 6:11 p.m., a transient woman digging in the dumpster on Mill Street was advised to clean her mess and leave.

• Between 8:07 and 10:24 p.m., police made eight traffic stops around Brookings.

 

Monday, March 8

• At 9:17 p.m., a caller reported construction tools had been stolen from the 500 block of Chetco Avenue.

• At 10:02 a.m., an animal complaint was received near Americoast Inn.

• At 10:49 a.m., police responded to Old County Road after a caller reported a transient man was walking in the roadway.

• At 12:04 p.m., police seized vape pens from a juvenile in the 800 block of 3rd Street.

• At 6:16 p.m., several callers reported a large fire in the 800 block of Elk Drive. It turned out to be a controlled burn.

• At 8:38 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Oak and Highway 101 and cited the driver for speeding.

• Between 9:17 and 10:37 p.m., officers conducted three traffic stops on Chetco Avenue. Two drivers were cited for driving while suspended.
