Dear Editor: A letter to everyone that knew her:
“I am sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye to all my friends and to thank them for all the ear rubs and treats, but I didn’t feel well the last few days.
“I worry about mom and dad. They won’t have anyone to let them know the doorbell rang, or to chase the deer, squirrels or crows out of the yard. Dad won’t have anyone to keep his knee warm on road trips. Mom won’t have anyone to go on Saturday McDonald’s runs with.
“They were pretty special. That’s why I chose them. Uncle Joe with the jerky, and grandma taking care of me, I will miss you all.
“It was a wonderful life. Love, Sugar.”
