Regarding special-district taxes: The advantage is, you know and get what you're paying for.

If you disagree with what you are receiving, attend a board meeting of said district and write letters to the editor about the specific district you are unhappy with.

But don't cancel them all so the taxes can go into the general fund, where who knows where they will go?
