As our local communities enter the final months of the 2020 election cycle, this seems like an ideal time to consider what kind of “political climate” we desire to have in our beautiful part of the world.

As a representative of the local GOP group, we are asking fellow Republicans and all of our neighbors to act and campaign with dignity and respect towards those who might have differing views for the future of our county, state and nation.

Curry County Republicans will continue to be excited and fully energized in our support of the conservative and liberty-loving Republican candidates on this year’s ballot, including President Donald Trump.

As we advocate for traditional American values, we stand against any violence (verbal or physical), property damage, intimidation or other forms of hatred that seem to have become common in many parts of our country.

America has been built on concepts of tolerance, and respect for the opinions of others. The Founders signed a famous document that says we are, “endowed by (our) Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…”

We invite all Curry County voters to join us in keeping the view that NOBODY benefits when anger, hostility or abuse overcome reasonable civil discourse. Curry County is better than that.

Ed Schreiber, Vice-Chair

Curry County Republican Central Committee
