Dear Editor: The Kindergarten Alligator and Giraffe class at Kalmiopsis Elementary School would like to thank Gold Beach Lumber for its donation of cedar boards for our annual “Snowmen.”

The kindergarten students made a board that looks like a snowman, cut to their exact height in kindergarten. Attached is a poem:

“Lean this snowman against the wall, to remind you when I was this small. Fingerprints made the mouth and eyes. This snowman is just my size! So, take him out each Christmas and see, I’m not as little as I used to be!”
