Dear Editor: I was impressed with Christopher Paasch’s guest column in the Sept. 25 edition of The Pilot. The idea of redistributing special-district funds makes a lot of sense.

Perhaps if people were better informed about the use of their property taxes, they would be willing to vote for some alterations without the need for tax increases. At the least, any future increases would come only after we knew the current taxes were being distributed efficiently.

I would love to see more information made available to the public and something on the ballot in the next election.
