Hospice began serving Curry County in 1995. Over the years, Coastal Home Health & Hospice has been an incredible resource in our community that provides comfort, dignity and respect to those coping with a terminal illness, as well as support for their families.

With approximately 34% of our population in Curry County in the retirement age, both home health and hospice services are critical for our aging population.

Coastal Home Health & Hospice is not just a support system for the patient who has been diagnosed with a terminal illness/ We’re also a support system for the families.

For so many people in the Curry County community who have worked with hospice over the years, Coastal Home Health & Hospice has been a saving grace. Over and over, we hear that the people in the community who have worked with us "wish they had called us sooner" or "don't know what they would have done without us."

November is National Hospice & Palliative Care Month, and Coastal Home Health & Hospice is reaching out to help our community understand the care options that are available to them and their loved ones.

Hospice offers an interdisciplinary team approach to treatment that includes expert medical care, comprehensive pain management, and emotional and spiritual care. Caring for the whole person allows the hospice team to address each patient's unique needs and challenges.

Hospice care is provided in your home from diagnosis on, and it helps to improve the quality of life and relief from pain. Many people become comfortable and enjoy life longer because their quality of life has increased so drastically.

Hospice does not hasten death and should not be a scary word. Choosing hospice means you are choosing to live your life on your terms, comfortably, and with the dignity you deserve.

Coastal Home Health & Hospice wants to provide awareness to those who might not know what hospice has to offer, and help those who are struggling to make those tough decisions. The best time to learn about what hospice has to offer, and to make plans for the kind of care you or your loved one would want, is before you are faced with a serious medical illness.
