Is it just me, or am I the only local to notice the increase in prices? Gas is 30 cents more per gallon here then the I-5 corridor. Food prices are 10-15% higher than elsewhere. Local entertainment has increased; for instance, the jet boats went up 36% from $50 pre COVID, to $68 today. My 4-year-old grandson would cost $45 for that ride. There are times I will head to Crescent City, pay California taxes, and the gas on my Prius to pay $3 per 2x4 stud, or 50 cents per avocado, instead of $1.29 per. Just sayin, for those of us who live here and try to support our local service, just wish they’d support us in return. Maybe they could give us a 10-15% discount. Just Sayin.
