I would like to introduce to you a very interesting man by the name of David Sinkler. David is a world traveler and has visited extensively 12 different countries.

He has hitchhiked tens of thousands of miles on country roads through all 50 states and that experience has given him a unique perspective on human behavior. He also has a master’s degree in education.

David moved to Harbor Brookings about three and a half years ago and he says, “This is as good as it gets.” He discovered the Brookings Farmers Market at about that time and he reports that shopping at the Market decidedly fulfills every whim, dream and more regarding his desire about shopping. He has bought everything from hardware to honey. During one shopping trip he will purchase organic fruits, vegetables, eggs, cheese and a wide variety of baked goods that can definitely feed him for a week.

He continues to say that the vendors have become. “my friends and family. Their creativity, artistic ability, designs and personal character sings to my very core.”

He experiences them as people with integrity, spirituality and warmth. His eyes sparkle when he says there is “lots of love under the tent.”

As vendors we strive to meet those expectations and more. Please support your local small businesses by attending the Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Dec. 12 at the Brookings Farmers Market.

Over 25 vendors have donated unique items and food specialties to be awarded to the two people who have the winning tickets that will be drawn at noon and again at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $1 each. Please enjoy the bazaar and keep everyone safe by wearing a mask and social distancing.
