Calla Felicity is not your typical politician. She doesn’t look the part, she doesn’t act the part and she is exactly what House District 1 and rural Oregon need representing them in Salem. Ms. Felicity is a maverick and a true original, just like the district she is hoping to represent in Salem. She has the kind of no-nonsense, DIY attitude that exemplifies much of the Oregon Coast, and when she takes a job, she works until that job is finished. Because she is her own person, and no one is holding the purse strings to her campaign, you won’t find her acting, or voting in a certain way, just because her party tells her to.
Calla Felicity is an independent thinker, and that is why when she told me and the other steering committee members of the Rural Oregon Climate Political Action Committee that she will prioritize climate action and preparing our rural and urban communities to be more resilient in the face of climate change, we knew she meant every word. Beyond her passion for a healthier environment, though, Ms. Felicity understands that sustainable energy and a green economy equal sustainable jobs for people in House District 1 and up and down the coast. Calla Felicity is the kind of leader rural Oregonians need to send to Salem. She is independent, passionate, and has a vision of a better Oregon for all of us.
