Wesley Walter Watkins

Wesley Walter Watkins was born on May 16th, 1947. Wes was born and raised in Eureka and resided in Brookings Oregon after retirement. He was often called “the life of the party.” He could tell stories and talk for hours. His laugh and smile could light an entire room.

He worked for Vita Sea Corporation for 34 years side by side with his Brother Willard Watkins Jr (Skip), which he told so many stories about, recalling one of the best times of his life. After a change in career, he then began working for Renner Petroleum driving an oil truck, selling oil. He enjoyed getting up and going to work every day, he loved his customers and coworkers. He retired from Renner and would talk about his customers often.

The simplest pleasures in life brought Wes joy. His family. He loved being a Papa and spending time with his grandchildren. Along with spending time with friends. When he wasn’t spending time with his grandchildren or friends you could find him detailing his car and truck or doing yard work.

Wes is survived by his children Cindi Moser, Brett Watkins, and Brad Watkins; his son-in-law Steve Moser; his four grandchildren, Maci Moser, Makenna Moser, Britnee Davy, and Makenzi Watkins; his great-grandchild, Landen Lally; Brother Butch Watkins, Sister Billie Bestul and Mickey Ann Land.

Wes was preceded in death by his parents, Willard Watkins Sr., and Phyllis Bak. His brother and sisters, Willard Watkins Jr. (Skip), Donna King and Marie (Raker) Harper, and best friend Basil. In memory of Wes, you can donate to his favorite charity which he donated to monthly, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A Celebration of life will be held, the date is yet to be determined.
