Sharon Elaine Warner fell asleep in death on December 19th, 2020. Sharon was born on October 2, 1936 in Peoria, Illinois to Russell Warner and Evelyn Keena. At an early age her family, along with her younger brother Mike, moved to Gardena, California. Sharon lived in the Los Angeles and Palmdale areas until settling in Brookings, Oregon in 1995.
Sharon had a full and colorful life and a great sense of humor! She was an avid photographer, an award-winning artist and lover of music, especially jazz. Everyone who knew her knew how much she loved all animals! She found joy with her 3 kitties and her adopted a one-legged seagull named Bing.
Sharon loved Brookings. She enjoyed going to the Art and Kite festivals, she loved visiting Harris Beach, one of her favorite places. Sharon attended Tai Chi classes at the Chetco Activity Center and she met wonderful friends there.
In her later years when she needed assistance, Sharon had some lovely caregivers, which without a doubt she cherished. As her family, we are grateful that she had them in her life.
The main thing Sharon treasured was her friends old and new. She had many friends from all over that she had for many decades. She always remembered special dates with calls and cards. She often said that she had the most wonderful friendships.
Sharon is survived by her niece Michelle DiMarzio and family of Brookings, nephew/grandnephew and family of Brookings, nephew Jeremy Warner of Brookings, nephew Tim Threw and family of Illinois, and Brother Sandy Wade and family of Palmdale, CA.
She was preceded in death by her son Michael Charles Ward and brother Michael C Warner.
There will be a private family memorial. No services due to the pandemic.
