Ronald “Ron” Clarence St. Marie

Ronald Clarence St Marie, 82, a resident of the Beaverton community passed away on April 13, 2021 at his home.

Ron was born on July 28, 1938 born in Lewiston, Idaho. He was the older of two children born to Arthur and Evelyn (Janke) St Marie. He grew up in Spokane, Washington but moved to Gold Beach in 1956. He graduated from Gold Beach High School with the Class of 1957. He later on went to Moler Barber School in Portland in 1964.

He met his future wife, Dolores Hildreth, while in high school. They married on November 29, 1958 in Gold Beach. They moved to Portland in 1964 and then to Beaverton in the early 1970’s.

Ron was a barber and owned the Shear Shack on the corner of 11th and Washington Street in Portland. Later he moved his business to Beaverton where his daughter, Rhonda, joined him.

Ron enjoyed gardening, trail riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing. Dolores and Ron spent the winters in Mexico for over 20 years and while there Ron enjoyed beach combing and the easy life. While his grandchildren where in high school sports Grandpa was their #1 fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his two children and their spouses; Rhonda St Marie of Beaverton, Randy and Wendy St Marie of Banks, his brother and his spouse; Dale and Diane St Marie of Gold Beach. Three grandchildren; Wyatt and Logan St Marie and Jessie St Marie Blankenship and a great granddaughter; Aleah Blankenship.

The family suggest donations in Ron’s name go to the American Cancer Society.

Burial took place at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland, Oregon
