Patricia Ruth Westling

Born in Oklahoma on October 7, 1947, passed away on June 8, 2020 in Boise, Idaho after an unexpected brief illness. Patricia began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1972, receiving her LPN license in 1980. In 1988 she received her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Umpqua Community College and became a Registered Nurse. She finished her Master of Science degree in 1994 and studied Women’s health at Harbor UCLA where she did her nurse practitioner training. She worked for Curry County Health Dept until 1997 when she then moved to Portland and worked for the Oregon Health Authority retiring in 2007. Patricia moved back to Brookings after leaving Portland and worked part time for the US Dept of Veterans Affairs clinic in Brookings. She moved to Idaho in 2012. She is survived by daughters Rebecca and Tamara and one son, Bradley; four grandsons, Brandon, Holden, Raymond and Russell and two great-granddaughters. She is also survived by former stepdaughter, Carley and her two children and stepson, Ellison and his two children. She was preceded in death by her father, James Burnett in 1966, her brother, Jim Burnett in 2001 and her mother, Jean (Borgos) Burnett in 2015. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Schnauzer Rescue or your local chapter chapter of the Humane Society.
