Neil Erwin

Neil Odom Erwin, 52, of Sam’s Valley passed away February 20, 2020 at Providence Hospital in Medford, OR surrounded by his wife and family.

Neil was born August 14, 1967 to Rayburn and Jean Erwin of Brookings, OR. Neil was raised in Brookings, and graduated Brookings Harbor High in 1986. Neil graduated from Wyoming Tech in 1987 then returned to Brookings and started his auto body career. He later moved to the Rouge Valley where he worked at Lithia Paint and Body for more than 20 years.

Neil had a great sense of humor that was appreciated by his friends and family, whom he cherished. Everyone who met Neil loved him.

He loved dogs, cars, anything with a loud engine, gold mining, nature, homesteading and watching the osprey from his river house.

In 2017, Neil found true love when he met the woman of his dreams, Deb. They were married March 9, 2018 and have cherished every moment together. In the time they had together, they built the life of their dreams, on a beautiful piece of property where they created a home with a garden, bees, chickens, goats, and dogs, but mostly love.

Neil is survived by his wife, Deb of Sam’s Valley, OR; mother, Jean of Central Point, OR; mother-in-law, Delfina of Sam’s Valley, OR; sister, Laurel of Medford, OR; brother, Mike of Brookings, OR; brother Paul (Corby) of Portola, CA; and his dogs Bella and Ruger.
