Leslie M Wood

Leslie M. Wood was born September 26, 1951 in Pasadena California. On February 19, 2020 she left this earth for the great beyond with her daughter , Brie, brother Craig , husband Brad and two of her besties by her side.

After graduating from Corona Del Mar High School, she became the purveyor of good times in the service industry. It was at Little John's Tavern in Newport Beach where she met Brad. They were both 21.

In the early 70's Brad went off to Gold Beach to help build his folk's retirement home. He returned to California to fetch Leslie and they were married in Brooking's courthouse in 1976.

In the following 40 years, she and Brad owned and operated Perico's for 8 years. Leslie tended bar, hosted or cooked in many favorite places - Jot's Restaurant, Rod n' Reel, P.J Catlock's, Hunter Creek Tavern, Rogue Landing, Spinner's, Riverview and Soakers.

Her unmistakable laugh, sunshine smile and work ethic followed her wherever she went. A lover of music and dance, of critters large and small, of growing flowers and veggies speaks to the life embracing heart in her. Undaunted by any recipe , she was a chef extraordinaire!

Her memory lives on in her beautiful daughter's family - grandchildren Flynn and Charlee and loving husband Jeremy Scriber.

She will be loved and missed forever.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for later this summer.
