Lauri Dee Stokes

Lauri Dee Stokes, age 47, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on December 16, 1972 to Leonard Dale Wentz of Suisun City, California and Frances Ann Ziemba of Sac City, Iowa in Forrest Grove, Oregon. Lauri attended Portland State University, graduating with a degree in psychology in 1997. In 2005, she moved to San Antonio with her family. Lauri was a Co-Founding member of Promontory Point swim team, an active member in Scouts with her children, and was affiliated with The Church of Latter-Day Saints, Stone Oak. Lauri was most happy spending time with her children. She enjoyed volunteering for their various school related activities. She married George Webster Whitehead, IV on November 2, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Wentz. Lauri is survived by her husband, George Webster Whitehead, IV; four children, Madeline Nicole Stokes, Gavin David Stokes, Jocelyn Lauren Stokes and Kaitlyn Elizabeth Stokes; and mother, Frances Ann Ziemba. The service was held on Monday, October 5, 2020 at The Church of Latter-Day Saints- Knight’s Cross with interment at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the TNBC Foundation, or a charity of your choice in Lauri’s name.
