Kimberly Kopec Gordon

Kimberly Kopec Gordon, passed away at the age of 31, after battling cancer.

Kimberly spent her early years in Brookings, Oregon, exploring tide pools, swimming, and catching Salamanders in the river.

She attended high school in Reno, Nevada, where she was active in theater and choir. Kimberly was adventurous, loved traveling, had no fear of doing things by herself, and made friends wherever she went. She traveled to Europe twice and took a cross-country train from Reno to New York City. She celebrated her 20th birthday by sky diving.

Kimberly had many dreams for her future and joined the Navy for the education benefits and travel. She sang a solo for Navy Basic Training Graduation. After honorable discharge, she made Colorado home, was a stay-at-home wife and mother, and filled her life with a variety of pets.

Kimberly was more than the roles in her life. She described herself as strong and family and friends describe her as beloved and unforgettable.

Kimberly is survived by husband, Jesse Duane Gordon; children, Max Rodriguez (Diego), Sterling and Charlotte; parents, Flo Helms and Tom Kopec; sister, Stephanie Gunderson (Brian); maternal grandmother, Nettie Reese; and extended family.

Memorial services will be private.
