Judith “Judy” Paulette Hulburt, a long-time resident of Gold Beach recently located to Athol, Idaho, passed away in her home in Idaho on Sunday, May 26, 2019. Born on Dec. 20, 1939 in Kelso, Washington, she is survived by her three daughters, Kimm April Techau (Hunter), Trina Willow Roberts and Karla Kay Hulburt; eight grandchildren, Rachel, Amanda, Kyle, Kailyn, Kristin, David, Storm and Ember; her sister, Joan Snyder; and her brother, Patrick Perkins.

She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. The family is grateful to know that she is being well taken care of by family members that went before her: her husband, Mert; her daughters, Cori and Kari; her mother, Opal; her father, Frank; and her brother, George.

Besides being a mother and a wife, her greatest joy in life was the game of golf. Along with being a longtime member of the Cedar Bend Golf Community, she spent many years of her life coaching Gold Beach High School girl’s golf. Her enthusiasm was contagious and she taught many young golfers to live up to their full potential and truly enjoy the game. She was loved by many and will be forever missed.

Judy’s memorial service will be at Bethany Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 3 p.m., 94190 5th St, Gold Beach. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Gold Beach Senior Center, the Gold Beach VFW Hall or the Curry County Animal Shelter, all of which were near and dear to her heart and of which she was a long-time supporter.

Redwood Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
