David Godino passed away on January 25, 2021, just two weeks shy of his ninety-eighth birthday.
David enjoyed a healthy and happy life filled with accomplishments and adventures.
He proudly served his country in World War II and soon after he entered the electronics industry at Hughes Aircraft Company, achieving the position of Director of Marketing.
His next career took him to the Panama Canal coastal waters, where he flew helicopters for the Tuna Fishing Fleet.
His love of flying prompted him to purchase a four-seater plane which enabled him and his wife, Katie, to explore the western states.
He enjoyed living in Brookings and quickly became involved with local activities. He once led the Azaelea parade in his treasured 1956 Ford T-bird.
He was associated with the Pelican Players Theater Group, arranging music for their many productions.
David and his wife, Katie, were fortunate to have enjoyed trips to Europe, spending most of the time in Italy, where they both have many cousins and friends.
Their only son, Richard, preceded him in death in 2017.
He leaves his wife, Katie, along with many adoring nieces and nephews.
David will be missed.
