Al (Tinker) King

Al (Tinker) King

Al (Tinker) King and his wife Betty spent 20 happy summers in Gold Beach. They loved the town, the people and of course the fishing. Their four children (AJ, Joni, Karen, & Patrick) would like to thank Jim at the Outdoor Store, all the friendly clerks at McKay’s, the managers and residents that made Angler’s RV Park a friendly place to stay, and all the river guides that gave them advice about tackle and “encouragement” on how to navigate the river during the busy August season! Al loved every minute of every day spent in Gold Beach and considered each of you a friend.

Al passed away on Sept. 1 at home, with his bride of 66 years holding his hand, and surrounded by his kids.

He was an optimistic adventurer all his life, and fishing in Gold Beach was his last and favorite adventure
