Born the youngest of three to Altrick and Emma Peterson in Denver, Colorado. Graduated from Manual High School, 1944. Married William (Bill) R. Hedenskog (Skoog) 1945.

They raised three children in Denver where Bill was a Denver fireman and she was a homemaker. An injury retired Bill in 1965, and their entire family moved to Brookings in 1966.

They enjoyed living near the ocean on Iris Street and built their last home in Harbor in 1975. She was widowed in 1977 and stayed single the remainder of her life.

She was a long time member of Grace Bible Church. She was employed at Curry County Communications for a few years. The last 15 years she lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Darrell Bonde, and the last three years at Azalea Gardens where she enjoyed socializing, cards, and dominos.

Surviving relatives are sister; Dorothy Nygren, California; sons: Ron Hedenskog, Brookings, Leonard Hedenskog, Brookings; granddaughters, Kiffany Owens, Montana, Brenda Eldridge, Brookings, Christina Griffin, Brookings, Teresa Gilliam, Oregon; grandsons, Scott Hedenskog, Brookings, and Leonard K. Hedenskog, Texas. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her husband Bill Hedenskog, brother Robert Peterson, and daughter Kathy Bonde.

She lived a full life with much thanksgiving but death interrupted her great desire to remain alive until the second coming of Christ.
