Lisa Ann Connolley, 60, of Decatur, Illinois, died at 2:45 am Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018, in Fairhaven’s Christian Village after a courageous battle with cancer.
A private service will be held at a later date to celebrate Lisa’s life. Memorials if desired may be made to Wounded Warrior’s Project or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Lisa was born Jan. 25, 1958, in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Edgar and Mary (Feldman) Connolley. She graduated in 1976 from Moweaqua High School and graduated from Lakeland Community College, Mattoon, Illinois, in 1978. She worked as a dental assistant for many years starting out with Dr. Jerger’s in Decatur. She loved little children.
In 1988, she moved to Brookings, to be near her father. She continued working as a dental assistant to several dentists in the area. She retired early due to her illness and with the help of Carla Brancato and Sherry Olson, she moved back to Illinois to be with family.
Surviving are her mother and step-father, Mary (Larry) Staley; sisters, Gail (Carl) Venters, Tanya Connolley (Rob Boriff), Shelli Staley; nieces and nephews, Corey Venters (Debbie), Chad Venters (Tess), Rachel Vogel (Nate), Amanda McPeak (Mark), Michael McPeak (Kelli), Jennifer McPeak, Brialynn Boriff (Tyler), Courtney Boriff; five great-nieces; and six great-nephews.
She was preceded by her father and grandparents.
