The following is an update from the Brookings Police public law enforcement records.
Single vehicle crashed over an embankment near Mill Beach Rd and knocked over a fuel pump at Fred Meyer, after the driver had a sudden medical issue.
Driver was transported to the emergency room. Fire units helped store management rope off the area and made sure there was no leaked fuel. Vehicle was towed; report to follow.

The Brookings Police have released limited details following a vehicle crash into a gasoline station along Highway 101.
According to police investigators, Kyle Wallace, of Gold Beach, was traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 101 at 3 a.m. on Dec. 17 when the 21-year-old’s white, 2006 Buick LaCrosse left the roadway, drove across the sidewalk and went down an embankment into the Fred Meyer parking lot in Brookings, before striking a fuel pump.
Both Wallace’s vehicle and the Fred Meyer pump island were extensively damaged.
Investigators said Wallace was transported to the Brookings Emergency Department for treatment. No other injuries were reported. There have been no details released about what caused the crash.
The Brookings Police Department is continuing its investigating into the incident.
