Wednesday, Oct. 9

At 8:15 a.m. Hit-and-run reported on Ransom Avenue.

At 10:56 a.m. Transient male who has been previously trespassed from Mill Beach appear to be setting up camp there, again. State Parks Dept. will be following up on same.

At 12:01 p.m. Illegal camping reported at Chetco Point Terrace. State Parks will be investigating another camp set up on the beach.

At 12:20 p.m. Cash stolen from a backpack on Pioneer Road.

At 12:32 p.m. Possible trespassers reported at vacant residence on Marine Drive.

At 12:39 p.m. Criminal trespass reported on Easy Street at a church. Subject will be trespassed if he returns.

At 3:41 p.m. Hit-and-run reported on the 800 block of Chetco Avenue.

At 4:01 p.m. Hit-and-run reported on the 500 block of Chetco Avenue.

At 8:00 p.m. Fire personnel responded to a residence on Pioneer Road with a smoking water heater. Breaker was shut off by resident, resolving the problem for the night.

At 10:21 p.m. Transient was contacted on Alder Street by an officer and warned for illegal camping.

At 10:37 p.m. Female adult arrested on valid detention warrant out of Curry County and transported to jail without incident.

Thursday, October 10

At 8:23 a.m. Officer investigated a report of harassment between ex-spouses.

At 10:59 a.m. Adult female was cited for Theft II after shoplifting merchandise valued at more than $700. She has been formally trespassed from a business on 5th Street.

At 11:33 a.m. Disorderly conduct reported on Shopping Center Avenue.

At 1:20 p.m. Officer investigated report of identity theft on Highland Avenue.

At 6:50 p.m. Male adult arrested on a valid circuit court warrant at a Chetco Avenue restaurant in the 800 block and transported to jail without incident.

At 6:50 p.m. Female adult arrested at a restaurant in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue on a valid circuit court warrant and transported to jail without incident.

At 7:36 p.m. Multiple 911s reported vehicle vs. pedestrian traffic crash near Lucky Seven Casino; transferred to Del Norte Sheriff Office.

At 7:40 p.m. A lone camper at Harris Beach State Park was shouting at other campers and passersby that she was going to burn down Oregon, causing alarm and concern. Officers responded with the camp host and stood by while she packed her belongings and departed.

At 8:28 p.m. Dispute/fight reported at West Hoffeldt Lane.

At 8:51 p.m. Multiple 911 calls reported a large mattress completely blocking one northbound lane near Harbor Weigh Station; calls transferred to OSP.

At 10:25 p.m. Suspicious conditions reported on Ransom Avenue. Male bicyclist riding around pointing flashlights at yards and houses as if he were casing them. Responding officers checked surrounding neighborhoods but were unable to locate subject.

At 10:32 p.m. Female transient slow to leave Harris Beach was yelling loudly as she went. Responding officer advised her she would be arrested if she didn't quiet down and leave, as previously instructed.

Friday, Oct.11

At 12:49 a.m. Officer contacted a male who had reportedly been going through garbage on private property. He denied being the person involved.

At 10:48 a.m. Forgery/fraud/bad check reported on Valley Street.

At 11:08 a.m. Assault reported on Pacific Avenue.

At 6:34 p.m. Theft reported at a business on 5th Street.

At 9:46 p.m. Dispute/fight reported on Pioneer Road.

Saturday, Oct. 12

At 12:39 a.m. Illegal camping reported on Alder Street.

At 12:35 p.m. Report of shots fired in Azalea Park.

At 3:53 p.m. Unlawful entry motor vehicle reported on Moore Street.

At 11:01 p.m. Rescue operation on beach off of Crissey Circle.

Sunday, Oct. 13

At 3:43 a.m. Prowler reported on Redwood Street.

At 4:06 a.m. Criminal trespass reported on Barbara Lane.

At 7:31 a.m. Criminal trespass reported on Hassett Street.

At 9:40 a.m. Illegal camping reported at Fleet Street and Park Avenue.

At 10:08 a.m. Theft reported on Boat Basin Road.

At 10:39 a.m. Theft reported on Wenbourne Lane.

At 5:33 p.m. Theft reported on Easy Street.

Monday, Oct. 14

At 4:33 a.m. Reported fire turned out to be a Halloween decoration.

At 11:15 a.m. Officer investigated report of telephonic harassment.

At 11:31 a.m. Citizen was advised how to block a subject who was reportedly sending harassing messages on a telephone.

At 2:54 p.m. Elderly female arrested for shoplifting was cited for Theft III at a business on 5th Street and released with a court appearance date.

At 3:57 p.m. Unauthorized use of vehicle reported at Sunshine Cove Lane. Vehicle stolen from county in the last five days.

At 6:43 p.m. Known suspect stole clothing and a drink from a business on Easy Street; investigation continuing.

At 7:54 p.m. Traffic crash with injuries reported on Mt. Emily Road. Single vehicle crash, multiple occupants. Several patients transported to local hospitals.

At 8:12 p.m. Transient who refused to leave the entrance of a business on 5th Street at employee request did leave when police responded.

At 8:16 p.m. Dispute/fight reported on Oceanview Drive.

At 9:07 p.m. Officers responded to a possible burglary in progress on 1st Street and found the building(s) secure; no evidence of burglary.

Tuesday, Oct. 15

At 8:53 a.m. Dispute/fight reported on Whaleshead Road.

At 9:04 a.m. Criminal trespass reported in the 1000 block of Chetco Avenue. Transients left garbage and waste behind.

At 10:31 a.m. Unlawful entry of a motor vehicle reported on Fern Avenue. Money and personal items valued in excess of $500 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

At 10:48 a.m. Disorderly conduct reported on Grootendorst Lane.

At 1:26 p.m. Unlawful entry of a motor vehicle reported on Fern Avenue. Marijuana pipes, a purse, and other items valued at approximately $100 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

At 9:29 p.m. Male from Grants Pass was trespassed from an appartment complex on Fir Street by the property manager and left as asked.

At 11:00 p.m. A transient couple involved in a loud verbal dispute outside of a restaurant in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue were contacted by officers and agreed to stay separated for the night.

Wednesday, Oct. 16

At 5:21 a.m. Officers responded to a loud verbal dispute at a residence on Pioneer. The occupants were uncooperative but did speak to officers through the door. Units cleared location after ascertaining

that the occupants had calmed down and didn't need assistance.

At 8:05 a.m. Disorderly conduct reported on 5th Street. Ongoing neighbor dispute documentation.

At 9:04 a.m. Young adult male was warned for riding his bike in the skate bowl on Ransom Avenue.

At 12:44 p.m. Hit-and-run reported in at the Port in Harbor.

At 1:31 p.m. Theft of a Smith and Wesson semi-atomatic pistol reported on Marks Lane, Brookings.

At 1:48 p.m. Unlawful vehicle entry reported on South Bank Chetco River Road, Brookings.

At 2:56 p.m. Criminal trespass reported at Shopping Center Avenue, Brookings.

At 12:47 p.m. Injury accident on Jerry’s Flat Road near Homestead Lane, Gold Beach.

At 3:59 p.m. Fraud reported on Surprise Lane, Brookings.

At 4:00 p.m. Arrest made for Assault 3rd Degree on Court Street, Brookings.

At 5:54 p.m. Dispute in progress reported on Brown Deer Lane, Brookings.

At 7:01 p.m. Illegal camping reported on North Bank Chetco River Road, Brookings.

At 7:08 p.m. Illegal hunting reported on Old House Creek Road, Agness.

At 11:01 a.m. Illegal camping reported at a shopping center on U.S. Highway 101 South.

At 4:11 p.m. Criminal trespass reported in the 15800 block of U.S. Highway 101, Harbor.

At 10:01 pm. Structure fire reported on Ross Lane, Brookings.

Monday, Sept. 30

At 11:12 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted on U.S. Highway 101 near Ophir for a stolen vehicle. After the driver exited the vehicle, it was determined the plate was not the same as the one it was thought to be. The driver was never in custody and was released immediately after the error was realized.

Tuesday, Oct. 1

At 7:44 p.m. A male subject was called in as being in and out of traffic on the Chetco Bridge over U.S. Highway 101 and possibly attempting to jump off of the bridge. The subject was contacted and arrested for disorderly conduct. He was cleared at Curry General Hospital before being lodged in the Curry County Jail.

Saturday, Oct. 5

At 1:47 p.m. An injury crash was reported on West Benham Lane. Vehicle #1, driving east impacted the rear end of a second vehicle. The impact caused the second vehicle to strike a third vehicle. Minor injuries were reported by the drivers of the first two vehicles. Damage to Vehicle #1 exceeded $2500 and was towed.

Sunday, Oct. 6

A male subject was reported to be intoxicated and stumbling as he walked down the shoulder of U.S. Highway 101 near Harris Creek. The male was contacted as he was seen urinating roadside with traffic driving by. The male was given the option of a courtesy ride home due to his level of intoxication and inability to safely walk the shoulder of the highway. The male refused the courtesy ride and was subsequently arrested for Disorderly Conduct II. Male was lodged at Curry County Jail.
