Wednesday, August 7

At 8:24 a.m. Complainant reported to OSP dispatch that male was following her as she was running along U.S. Highway 101 near milepost 361. She said the male had done the same kind of thing on several occasions during 2018. Officer contacted suspect, who denied following her although he admitted he was in the same area of Highway 101 that she had been. Male was warned that future conduct could be interpreted as stalking.

At 2:41 p.m. Injury crash as Vehicle 1 was attempting to enter U.S. Highway 101 from a pullout on the west side of the highway. As the vehicle turned northbound, it crossed in front of southbound Vehicle 2. The passenger of Vehicle 1 was injured and transported to Curry General Hospital. Both vehicles were totaled. Driver of Vehicle 1 issued citation.

Friday, August 9

At 3:12 p.m., Transaction attempted at pawn shop on Chetco Avenue, which was denied due to a previous conviction.

Sunday, August 11

At 5 p.m. Theft at Otter Point State Recreation Site north of Gold Beach reported. Damage to vehicle included smashed window, tool marks on door handle, significant damage to overhead storage device. Contents stolen included $600 cash, $400 prescription glasses, $300 wireless headphones, and wrench.
