Oregon Coast Community Action is reaching out to people who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The nonprofit organization has funding available to help people get caught up on rent and energy bills. 

“In these unprecedented times it becomes more and more important for communities to come together and support each other,” the organization said in a statement. 

People living in Curry or Coos counties who have been affected by the COVID 19 pandemic may be eligible for assistance. 

“If you have a compromised immune system or have an elevated risk of infection and vulnerability to your health as it relates to COVID 19, you might qualify for assistance with rent relief and, or energy bill payment assistance," the spokesperson said. 

For energy bill payment assistance call 541-435-7080 and speak to one of the organization’s knowledgeable front desk staff to obtain an application. 

For rent relief please call 541-435-7080, extension 370, to speak to one a Housing Stabilization specialist to see if you may be eligible for assistance
