The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the Southern Oregon Coast, which remains in effect until 4 p.m. today.
Gusty Northeast Winds and low humidity expected through today. Winds will become northeast and then east through today, mixing down to lower elevations at times. Low relative humidities are expected through today at all elevations. Higher elevations, passes, and east wind favored locations will experience the driest and windiest conditions. Strong, gusty wind with low relative humidity and high fire danger will likely contribute to a significant spread of new and existing fires in the absence of fire suppression efforts.
