The Rotary Club of Brookings-Harbor invites qualifying high school seniors to apply for an exciting scholarship opportunity. Up to three Rotary $1,000 scholarships will be awarded at the Brookings-Harbor Scholarship Awards Reception at the end of May.
Rotary scholarships are available to all graduating high school seniors who have either participated in the Rotary Interact Club, Rotary Leadership Youth Award (RYLA Camp) or a Rotary project/activity, and plan to attend a two-year, four-year or technical school. Graduating seniors must live within the Brookings-Harbor School District boundaries.
“Rotary scholarships are available due to the generosity of our community contributing to Rotary’s projects, whether it be supporting the snack shack at the American Music Festival concerts or Rotary’s main fundraiser, Raining Cats & Dogs,” stated Bonnie Jordan, Rotary President. “One of Rotary’s five avenues of service is Youth Service — which recognizes the importance of empowering youth and young professionals through leadership development programs. What better way to accomplish this than through scholarship awards?”
Rotary scholarship application deadline is April 15. For an application, contact the BHHS Counseling office, call Peggy at 541-661-3204 or Judy at 541-661-2066, or visit the Rotary website at www.brookingsharborrotary.org (click on Club Links/Documents).
