The 36-foot fishing vessel Micke lists to starboard stuck in mud in the Yaquina River near Toledo, Ore. on Sunday, Oct. 6. A Coast Guard Station Yaquina Bay boat crew rescued a man and his dog off the boat.

A man and his dog are safe following their rescue Sunday, Oct. 6, along the Central Oregon Coast.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector North Bend received the call for help at 1:52 p.m. Sunday and directed the launch the Coast Guard Station Yaquina Bay 29-foot Response Boat-Small crew. The Coast Guard arrived on scene at 2:16 p.m. to find the man's vessel aground on submerged pilings near Toledo.

The Coast Guard crew retrieved the man and dog off the fishing vessel Mickey, which is listing and stuck in mud in the Yaquina River.

No injuries or pollution have been reported however, the 36-foot double-ended troller has a reported 100 gallons of fuel on board.
