When the lights snap on the stage of the Rogue Playhouse this evening a large variety of live entertainment will be front and center for all to enjoy.

The Ellensburg Theater Company (ETC) is proud to present their biggest fundraiser of the year for one action-packed evening- tonight at 7:30 p.m.

Among the local talent performing will be John Conner and Julie Phillips on keyboards and flute. They will be joined by Fred Shachersitting on drums and Tim Brueckner on vocals.

Vanessa Spini will bring her love of dance and Dean Duarte will sing. Dan Dresser covers many soft rock covers with his vocals and guitar. Dresser also doubles as sound technician for the gala.

Singer, songwriter and guitarist David Self will make his debut.

ETC has been the steady friend of live theater, musical concerts, radio dramas, children’s plays, and community-minded benefits for nearly 30 years.

According to longtime local theater spokesperson Sue Baczik, the Rogue Playhouse got its start in the early 1990s.

“Back then there were about 10 of us and we were known as the Gold Beach Summer Theater (GBST),” Baczik said.

Since then, the troupe has grown in both size and scope eventually acquiring and remodeling the former Masonic Lodge located on the corner of Moore and Mary Streets in downtown Gold Beach to become the site of their performing arts venues.

ETC has brought more than 200 productions to life over the years. This evening’s fundraiser will go towards keeping theater-related activities moving forward in central Curry.

Tickets are $15 at the door.
