Brookings-Harbor Lions Club meet and greet, 9 a.m. to noon — at Oasis Park at Hillside and Chetco avenues. The event includes clowns and singing. There will be a raffle for a patriotic afghan, a veteran plaque and a jet boat trip for two. All veterans receive a free ticket.

79th annual Azalea Festival parade (VIP event), 10 a.m. — the theme is “Another Day in Paradise.” The staging area is at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1200 Easy St., Brookings. Judging begins at 9 a.m. The parade proceeds down Chetco Avenue between Easy and Oak streets then up Oak Street. A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter flyover is scheduled for 10:10 a.m., weather dependent.

Free refreshments and public restrooms open, 10 a.m. — Brookings Presbyterian Church, 540 Pacific Ave. Come relax after the parade.

Rock the Chetco II, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. — on the boardwalk at the Port of Brookings Harbor. Live music by Rapp Brush, noon-1:30 p.m., Keith Jones and Gil Kirk 1:30-3 p.m., Night Moves 3-5 p.m. and Done Deal 5-9 p.m. Food, craft beer and cider garden, artisan vendor row plus Kiddie Land fun.

Annual Brookings-Harbor school reunion, 2-5 p.m. — open to all who attended Brookings-Harbor schools at any time. People do not need to be a graduate in order to attend. Next to KidTown in Azalea Park.
