Top 100

Oregon Business Magazine has selected Coastal Home Health & Hospice of Brookings as among its 100 best nonprofits to work for in Oregon, said the nonprofit’s marketing manager, Anna Curtis.

“We are thankful to our staff members for participating in the (magazine’s) survey,” she said. “This is a prestigious list, and we are proud to have made the cut.”

“Working together, and our passion for the people that we care for, is really what makes this work experience a cut above the rest and put us in the top 100 best nonprofits to work for,” said Coastal Home Health & Hospice executive director Jamie Daugherty.

Curtis said the ranking is significant for the nonprofit as well as for Brookings. “It really helps to validate the high quality of care that our staff is already giving to the patients they serve in the county,” she said. “As for the significance for the community as a whole, this is huge because it really shines attention on this small, rural community for recruiting in the health-care industry, which is something that is significantly lacking.”

Oregon Business Magazine editor Kim Moore told The Pilot the listing first will be published online Oct. 3, during an awards presentation for the agencies.

Coastal Home Health & Hospice is at 306 Wharf St.kin Brookings.
