'Thar She Blows'

The Chetco Pelican Players are releasing their 2016 production of 'Thar She Blows' on DVD. All of proceeds from this fundraiser will help sustain the operations of the Chetco Pelican Players, a nonprofit community theater, as they resume operations in the wake of the COVID-19 shutdowns of 2020 and 2021.

Written and directed by founding member and longtime resident Mike Moran, 'Thar She Blows' is a melodramatic, comedic riff on the history of Brookings, Oregon. With campy humor and plot twists galore, this limited-edition legacy DVD is more satisfying than a blubber burger and as exciting as a tangle with a giant squid.

This DVD is a recording of the updated 2016 production, starring local residents Ellen Stadelman, Sean Paul Farris, Ariel Farris, Randy Scruggs, Bj Farris, Mary Anne Trailor, Steven Scruggs, Scott Oka and Tommy Jones.

Copies of 'Thar She Blows' are currently available for pre-order for $19.99 online at chetco-pelican-players.square.site. All pre-orders will ship on the DVD’s release date of June 25.

DVDs will also be available for in-person purchase at the box office of the Chetco Playhouse, 1240 Chetco Avenue, during all live theatrical performances through the month of August.
