Ribbon Cutting

"Lives are going to be saved," Brookings City Councilor Ron Hedenskog told The Pilot as he joined others for a ribbon cutting ceremony at Curry Medcial Center in Brookings.

Officials said the Sunday afternoon Oct. 27 ceremony was held in anticipation of the expansion of medical care in Brookings.

The official opening date of the new emergency department is pending following a site survey to be conducted Nov. 5-7 by the Oregon Medical Authority.
