Wednesday, April 7

• At 2:35 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Fern and Easy. The driver was warned for failure to obey a traffic control device and operating with driving privilege. A licensed driver took over driving responsibilities.

• At 8:50 a.m., police responded to Hemlock and asked a transient man to move his motor home off the public street.

• At 9:51 a.m., police conducted a welfare check in the 500 block of Spruce Street.

• At 11:03 a.m., police responded to 5th Street after a caller reported a transient man was being disorderly. The man was gone when officers arrived.

• At 1:20 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop at Capella and North Bank and cited the driver for driving while suspended.

• At 1:22 p.m., police responded to the high school track and warned two juveniles riding a small motorcycle on the track.

• At 1:26 p.m., a hit-and-run accident was reported in the 600 block of Chetco Avenue.

• At 3:53 p.m., a dispute was reported in the 16200 block of Highway 101.

• At 4:20 p.m., police conducted a welfare check in the 1000 block of Chetco Avenue.

• At 6:11 p.m., a transient woman was formally trespassed from the 1200 block of Easy Street.

• At 7:33 p.m., a fire was reported on Smith River.

• At 9:35 p.m., police responded to the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue. A transient woman at the scene was found to be a danger to herself and transported to the hospital.

Thursday, April 8

• At 7:32 a.m., police responded to milepost 354 on Highway 101 in an attempt to contact the owners of a vehicle that was parked for 24 hours. It was unoccupied at the time.

• At 9:06 a.m., a transient woman was cited and released on an outstanding warrant in the 1000 block of Chetco Avenue.

• At 9:08 a.m., officers conducted a welfare check in the 400 block of Fir Street.

• At 10:32 a.m., police responded to the 400 block of Chetco Avenue after a caller reported finding drug paraphernalia in a room.

• At 11:03 a.m., a traffic accident was reported on Railroad.

• At 3:18 p.m., a transient man was cited a released on an outstanding warrant on North Bank Chetco River Road.

• At 4:25 p.m., police responded to the 500 block of Fern after a caller reported a verbal dispute. The parties agreed to separate.

• At 4:40 p.m., the Brookings Fire Department responded to the 600 block of Hemlock to a report of a person trapped in an elevator. The person was able to escape, and the elevator was taped off.

• At 7:02 p.m., a caller reported disorderly conduct in the 16200 block of Highway 101.

Friday, April 9

• At 7:07 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of Wharf after a caller reported a vehicle not belonging to the residence was parked in the driveway. Officers located the owner and the vehicle was moved.

• At 7:37 a.m., police responded to Mill Beach after a caller reported a verbal dispute. Police determined it was a person yelling goodbye to a friend.

• At 9:49 a.m., police cited a transient man for illegal camping on Spruce.

• At 12:48 p.m., police cited a person for not wearing a helmet while operating a motor scooter.

• At 1:20 p.m., police responded to Park Avenue after a caller reported a person attempted to enter the building overnight and another person entered the building during business hours. Employees were able to get the person to leave before police arrived.

• At 2:09 p.m., police responded to the 500 block of Fern after a caller reported a verbal dispute.

• At 2:50 p.m., a caller reported a bank scam in on Schooner Bay Drive.

• At 4:26 p.m., a caller reported two dogs were chasing deer in the 500 block of Cushing Street.

• At 6:06 p.m., a caller reported being recorded in a public space in the 300 block of Fern Avenue.

• At 8:12 p.m., police conducted a welfare check in the 1200 block of Iris Street.

• At 8:55 p.m., police responded to the library and asked a transient woman who had previously been trespassed from the location to gather her things and leave.

Saturday, April 10

• At 10:54 a.m., police formally trespassed a transient man from the 600 block of Chetco Avenue.

• At 12:16 p.m., police cited a transient woman for criminal mischief on North Bank Chetco River Road.

• At 2:06 p.m., a caller reported a dog had been barking for 30 minutes in a vehicle on Lundeen Street.

• At 3:31 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of Spruce Street after a caller said they loaned their vehicle out and it is now missing.

• At 6:04 p.m., police responded to Pacific and Chetco and assisted a disabled motorist.

• At 6:08 p.m., a caller reported his vehicle was damaged in the 500 block of Spruce Street.

• At 8:25 p.m., police conducted a welfare check at North Bank and Chetco.

• At 8:30 p.m., police cited a released a transient man on an outstanding warrant in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue.

• At 10:55 p.m., police responded to the 700 block of Cottage Street to a reported a dispute. Both parties declined medical treatment.

Sunday, April 11

• At 1:56 a.m., fire personnel responded to the 97900 block of Olsen Lane to fight a fire that destroyed a duck shed. They were able to save the nearby residence.

• At 8:09 a.m., officers formally trespassed a man from the 1200 block of Chetco Avenue.

• At 9:22 a.m., a motorhome hit and caused about $5,000 in damage to the clearance sign at McDonald’s.

• At 12:45 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Wharf Street and asked a transient man to move along.

• At 3:35 p.m., a caller reported finding a bicycle on Harris Beach.

• At 8:54 p.m., police served a warrant in the 30 block of Floral Drive.

• At 11:39 p.m., police responded to the 800 block of Elk Drive to a report of a verbal dispute.

Monday, April 12

• At 8:25 a.m., police responded to the 300 block of 5th Street and talked to transients who put up a camp in the area. The transients took down the camp and moved when instructed./

• At 10:28 a.m., police responded to the 500 block of Chetco and formally trespassed a transient woman who refused to leave.

• At 11:59 a.m., police located the owner of a wallet that was found on Railroad near Market.

• At 2:12 p.m., a minor traffic accident was reported in the 300 block of 5th Street.

• At 3:27 p.m., an animal complaint was reported at the Wild River Motor Lodge.

• At 3:46 p.m., officers conducted a welfare check near Stateline.

• At 4:53 p.m., Oregon State Police stopped a driver who was driving recdklessly on Highway 101. The driver was arrested for DUII.

• At 5:05 p.m., police made a traffic stop on West Harris Heights. The passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant and the driver and passenger were cited for possession of drugs.

• At 6:30 p.m., a traffic accident was reported at Center and Highway 101. There were minor injuries, and one driver was cited for failing to yield at a stoplight. Both vehicles were towned from the scene.

• At 9:16 p.m., a lost dog was reported in the 1630 block of Lower Harbor Road.

• At 9:20 p.m., a female transient was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant and released with a citation in the 1200 block of Chetco Avenue.
