Savannah Goetze, a University of Oregon freshman was selected as one of 24 finalists for Church Hill Classics’ Frame My Future scholarship.
Goetze is working toward a bachelor of arts degree in arts and technology and hopes to one day work as an illustrator for children’s media.
Goetze’s submission was inspired by the comics and stories she worked on in her free time as a student at Brookings Harbor High School.
Ashlie Goetze, Savannah’s mother, stated that “Savannah is a hard working student,” adding that Savannah was the salutatorian of her 2018 graduating class and was named to the University of Oregon dean’s list in both of her first two semesters.
Savannah Goetze is seeking scholarship funds to help offset the cost of food and housing for her upcoming sophomore year.
The winner of the Frame My Future scholarship contest is determined by a vote which runs until May 20. People can vote once every 24 hours until the end of the contest. The first place winner will receive $5,000, the runner-up will receive $1,000, and the second runner-up will receive $500.
