The Curry Coastal Pilot

The Tri City Bridge Club recently moved to the Chetco Activity Center in Brookings.

Club President George Kuppler praised their new home for its welcoming environment and, thanks to the staff at the Activity Center, a smooth transition. Programs Administrator Carol Owens stated that “We are happy to have the Bridge Club become a part of the Chetco Activity Center and we welcome all of the new members.”

Along with the Club’s move to its new home, the Bridge Club is offering a series of free lessons on Saturdays at 1 p.m. from April 20 to May 9 at the Chetco Activity Center. There will be lessons for people new to the world of bridge as well as those who are trying to get back into the game. Club members say bridge is a social, entertaining, and challenging game that is also good for keeping your mind sharp. If you can’t be swayed by the entertainment aspect of the game, maybe the snacks that will be provided will help persuade.

Regular club meetings are held in the Activity Room every Tuesday and Thursday at noon. Additionally, games for newer players are held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 1:45 p.m.
