Bruins baseball

After taking a close 6-4 win on Monday, the Bruins hosted the Douglas Trojans for a rematch double-header on Friday.

Next week, the Bruins will host the Siuslaw-Mapleton Vikings on Tuesday and travel to play them again in a double-header next Friday.

Bruins softball

The Bruins took a solid 16-10 win on Monday against the Douglas Trojans, who they then travelled to play again in a double-header on Friday.

The team heads to Lost River later today to play the Pirates in a non-league game before heading to Siuslaw to resume league play against the Vikings on Tuesday. They’ll then host Siuslaw for a double-header next Friday.

Brins track and field

The Bruins head to Coos Bay today to compete in the Prefontaine Rotary Invitational alongside their fellow Far West League teams. After that, the Bruins head to Douglas on Tuesday to compete in the Far West League JV Meet.

Bruins golf

Coach Gary Early had the Bruins golfers take a week to gather themselves and practice honing their finer skills before heading into the rest of the season. Their next scheduled meet has them traveling to Gold Hill on Monday to play a tournament at Laurel Hill Golf Course.

Panthers baseball

The Panthers had a bit of a rest this week after their Saturday game against Neah-Kah-Nie was canceled. On Friday they hosted the Waldport Irish and will head to Myrtle Point on Tuesday to play the Wildcats.

With a clean win against Illinois Valley at 15-8 on Monday in a non-league game, the Panthers hosted the Waldport Irish in a league game on Friday. The Panthers are then scheduled to play in the Bonanza Softball Tournament later today at 7 p.m.
