The Manley Art Center at 433 Oak St. in Brookings displays “Soul’s Captured,” a show by the Life Drawing Group, through today (Dec. 29).

California Redwoods Art Association’s 2nd St. Gallery at 1228 Second St. in Crescent City exhibits a collection of photography from December’s Artist of the Month, Catherine Balck.
January’s Artist of the Month is Dawn Phillips with a collection of her photography.
The gallery also displays members’ collections throughout the community including:the Del Norte County Library, Sutter Coast Hospital and its Infusion Center and Wild Rivers Community Foundation.

Art in Public Places
The Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness’ (DNACA) Art in Public Places exhibit is the 27th annual Juried Multimedia Show. This exhibit will be on display through Jan. 17.
The exhibit is available for viewing in the Del Norte County Courthouse at 450 H St. in Crescent City. The courthouse is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
There will soon be an Art in Public Places exhibit in the new terminal of Crescent City airport at 150 Dale Rupert Road.

Brian Scott Gallery at 515 Chetco Ave. in Brookings features its Winter Wonderland show with all of the gallery’s artists contributing new work with a winter theme.

Arts and Culture
The Gallery of Arts and Culture at 175 H St. in Crescent City features the show “Art Safari,” benefiting the Smith River Alliance as well as the artists. The show includes watercolor and acrylic works created by artists Rick Tolley, John Crater, Andrew Daneil, Paul Rickard, and Jeff Stanley. They spent the past two months painting in plein air along the Smith River.
Also featured in the gallery are new watercolor paintings from John Hewett, created on his painting tour of Greece. A collection of original Christmas ornaments by Nancy Ehorn and Ann Holm are also available.

Coast Redwoods Art Association’s Crescent Harbor Gallery at 140 Marine Way in Crescent City will display work by students from the College of the Redwoods Art Program through December.
The gallery’s Artist of the Month for January is Pauline Lodolini with a collection of her multimedia artwork.
