The Kingston Trio concert scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Event Center on the Beach has been canceled due to the use of the facilities for firefighter operations.
However, a “Meet, Greet, and Eat” dinner and mini-concert scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, is still on.
The dinner event is at the Rogue Grange and Community Center at 33043 Nesika Road in Nesika Beach.
The dinner will consist of pulled pork, coleslaw, corn-on-the-cob, brownies, and non-alcoholic beverages.
Tickets are $15 per person and must be purchased in advance at Gold Beach Books in Gold Beach and from Grange members.

The current Kingston Trio is related to the original trio. Josh Reynolds is the son of founder Nick Reynolds. He has mastered his father’s style and plays the same Martin guitar. Cousin Mike Marvin is on the other Martin and Tim Gorelangton whom Nick referred to as his “musician brother” plays the banjo.
The Kingston Trio have been Oregonians since 1967 and have a home in Curry County.
